I don't think it's your fault, please don't worry. There were... a lot of things that built up to that fight, and you weren't responsible for any of those.
It did make a lot of people angry, but I don't think it'll happen again. Sometimes when people get the wrong idea about someone, it can make them angry for the wrong reasons. But if they stop and look at the situation, sometimes they realize where that miscommunication happened--and that's when they can figure out how to fix it. Or how to avoid the situation to begin with.
There's been a lot of talking going on, so my hope is that everyone can learn from this.

There's really no 'safe' distance when it comes to a fight, so you should be careful about spectating something like that again. Even if your friends are there.

I'm not sure what to say about a next time, though, because I hope there won't be a next time. I don't doubt that they're good people--or at least that they're capable of being good people. Not everyone understands how to find the good in others, so I wouldn't worry what these "other people" think. Mr. Gray and Mr. Law might have questionable backgrounds, but they've been kind to me. And to you, it seems. That's what really matters.
