This definitely gives the impression of a family home, even if Masaki probably lives alone. It just cements Gabriel's impression of her as someone who's very family-focused. He smiles a little as he closes the door behind him and follows her.

His smile turns slightly sheepish at her question. "You caught me. I know he's technically an adult, but you two seemed close. I know he didn't mean to upset you. I didn't either, honestly."

He runs a hand through his hair, giving the appearance of nervousness. "Both he and Stephen are friends of mine- well, not really sure on Stephen right now, but- anyway. I was trying to make sure they both had someone there that could help if either got hurt."
