He rolls his eyes at her initial explanation. Yes, a picture, he can see that. He waits, and she does in fact continue.

But there's something about the answer that doesn't satisfy. He stays quiet, searching her face, expecting more and getting nothing.

So he asks, "So, what, do you not like it or something? You could probably just throw it out if that's the case. Or make a paper airplane." He looks at it again, trying to make heads and tails of what exactly the kid is supposed to be.
